Joplin Sends Aid to Tornado Ravaged Oklahoma

Joplin city officials are sending members of their fire, police and other public safety departments to Moore, OK to aid in the rescue and clean up efforts following Monday’s devastating tornado.  Two years ago Joplin faced a similar crisis of its own when a tornado swept through the town killing more than 150 and leaving a trail of destruction.  Joplin City Manager Mark Rohr said in a statement “We remember the amount of assistance that we received following the tornado two years ago, and we want to help others as they helped us.”
