Painters Union Claim Lead Paint In Schools

Some union members with the St. Louis Painters Union are concerned paint containing lead in St. Louis’ public schools isn’t being handled correctly.  Union members presented photos yesterday at the school board meeting of chips of paint they say could contain lead being dropped in buckets, pushed down in rolling dumpsters and lying on the floor.  A St. Louis Public School official says they are aware of lead in some older structures and they will make sure all areas are safe.
