Violent Road Rage Incident Turns Deadly

A case of road rage ended in the death of a 43-year-old man.  It started on Interstate 70 around noon Thursday, when a man driving a box-style truck allegedly cut in front of a man driving an SUV.  The SUV driver then began following the truck.  Weaving in and out of traffic, colliding several times with each other both vehicles exited at Union Rd.  Getting out of their vehicles at the intersection of Union and Margaretta, the driver of the SUV was holding a hammer and began striking the truck and its driver several times before jumping on the trucks hood. The driver of the truck got back in his box-truck, and with the man still on his hood turned left onto Margaretta.  During the turn the man fell off the hood of the truck, sustaining serious injuries.  He was taken to a local hospital and was pronounced dead.
